Total Reaches 2,700 Students by Opening Five Science & Technology Rooms

A leading fuel retailer in Turkey, Total Oil Türkiye is continuing to open Science & Technology Rooms as part of the Total Support Education Project being carried out in the partnership with the NGO TOÇEV.

As part of the project, Total has opened five Science & Technology Rooms capable of welcoming 2,700 students. Of these, three, in Bolu, Sakarya and Kocaeli, were opened in December 2013 and two, in Düzce and Bursa, in February 2014. In all, the company plans to open a total of 10 rooms during the 2013-2014 school year. Total Oil Türkiye has renovated nine primary schools in collaboration with NGOs, including four schools with TOÇEV.

Students will have the opportunity to conduct the latest experiments and improve their science and technology education in the Rooms, which are equipped with a variety of technical facilities. By featuring the latest equipment, the Rooms attest to Total Oil Türkiye's commitment to contributing to the education of the younger generation, who are the future of Turkey.

Total Oil Türkiye HR & Administration Director Ayşe Ürgen said: “We are carrying out many projects in the field of education. We educate  primary school students on road safety with our First Steps in The Street project and we are renovating many schools with our Total Supports Education project. We are very happy to build Science & Technology Rooms, which reflect the importance we place on innovation. We will continue to support education.”
